I was actively invovled in the movement for democracy in Bangladesh, It was as an activist in the streets that I took up photojournalism. I’ve been involved in setting up Drik Picture Library, Bangladesh’s first picture agency, First photo school, Pathshala. First online portal www.orientation.bd.com (now inactive), first webzine, www.meghbarta.net (now www.meghbarta.org), Bangladesh’s human rights portal, www.banglarights.net, first photo festival in Asia, Chobi Mela and later converted the photo school to a media academy. I setup the first email network in Bangladesh.
